You will need to stay one night in Padang on arrival in order to catch the ferry the following morning. This applies for your departure too.

Location
Leleu is situated on the island of Simakakang, a 5 – 10 minute dingy ride from the Tua Pejat ferry dock on Sipora Island.
VISA Requirements
Visa upon arrival for most nationalities can be obtained at Jakarta international airport and Padang airport.Cost is USD 30 payable at the airport. This allows you to stay up to 30 days. A 60 day visa can be obtained only through your local Indonesian Consulate in the country you reside in. Please contact them directly.
